About Me

My name is Tia Poquette (she/her). Having lived in Manhattan since I was two years old, I have found inspiration from the vast architectural designs throughout New York City. After studying architecture for a year and a half at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture, I switched majors from architecture to public policy with a minor in architecture and sociology. Though I loved my time as an architecture student, I realized I was more interested in the policy side of architecture, particularly around issues like redlining and the ways in which design impact quality of life. I am interested in urban policy, sustainability, and social justice.

In 2017, I was fortunate enough to receive the Michael Perelstein Memorial Scholarship which enabled me to meet Lego designers in Denmark and pursue my interest in architecture and design. My time as an architecture student was both enlightening and inspirational. I am excited to use my skills in architecture to help explore this new path in public policy and expand my website for a diverse range of purposes.

This website serves as a digital archive for my work. Enjoy.
