My Traveler’s Cottage

My Traveler’s Cottage:

I want to begin by saying I am extremely proud of this build and I hope you enjoy it! I built it while on the Lego Inside Tour and really wanted to share it with you!

As you can see I really wanted to fit as much detail in the Traveler’s Cottage as possible! I used white bricks on the outside and sand colored bricks on the inside. I also wanted to have a nice accent color on the outside of the house. For this I used dark blue, outlining the front of the house and following through the house, the curtains, windows, and roof. For the windows I used jumper pieces to indent the windows.

This image shows you further how many windows I used. I did this to increase the illusion of it being more spacey and bigger. In addition, I imagined a big forest surrounding the house and a nice stream nearby. With this in mind, I thought the traveler should have a nice view of the environment! So you might be wondering, where’s the bathroom?! Well, this traveler really loves nature and being one with nature so the bathroom is actually outside!

From this view, you can also see some of the detail in the front. The porch is wooded and is a nice area to pull out a chair and listen to the stream and the wind blowing through the trees! You can also see two plants as decorations to make the side more appealing. There’s a toilet and a small sink, too! Building the sink and the toilet was a  fun, small detail to add even though it’s small. From here you can also get a better view of how I constructed the windows and the roof.

Here’s an additional image of the other side of the house. This image also shows how I built the windows and also the amount of windows I used. In total, I used five windows for a very small cottage.

After I had taken these pictures I added the traveler’s pet! A pig! This pig doesn’t really come inside and mostly hangs outside with the frog! There’s lots of room for imagination in this creation and I really hope you enjoyed it!
