My Beachside Restaurant

Welcome to my Beachside Restaurant!

The Beachside Restaurant is elegant and can function as both a fancy or casual restaurant. This restaurant can serve as a perfect wedding venue because of its proximity to the beach and its wide windows facing the ocean! The outside of the restaurant is decorated with plants, a navy blue trim, and sand from the beach bordering the restaurant.
The roof of the restaurant is decorated, too. There are more plants on the roof and a skylight along with green accents creating a flow between the navy blue sloped bricks and the roof.

The interior of the restaurant is open and comfortable. There are four restrooms and a small but functional kitchen.

When entering the restaurant one will be greeted by a host and then seated at an open table or at their reserved table.

The walls also have a light blue strip of paint on them running throughout the whole restaurant.

The restaurant seating area is mostly split into three sections, as divided by the columns. The section in the middle can be converted into a dance floor for weddings or other events and the other sections can be customized to become seating areas, a bar, or a food area for buffet styled events.

The kitchen also has an open window (as seen in the second image above) which is not really used. When the restaurant is reserved the window is opened and can be used by waiters or waitresses to talk to the chefs and to order food. The window is currently blocked by bottles (as seen in the third image below).

My favorite feature of the kitchen is definitely the sink. It is large for cleaning dishes and detailed, too.

You can see from the gallery that the sink is built sideways and the use of the 1x4x2 window with the transparent blue glass makes it look like a large sink with water in it. The use of the two 1×4 bricks underneath the large window also appears to be drains for the sink. The color of the sink also flows with the wall. Lastly the use of the 1×6 and 1×4 plate look similar to boardwalk sections that you would see at a beach.

All four bathrooms have a red velvet floor. One of the bathrooms is wheelchair accessible as well. All of the bathrooms have the same features, a sink, a toilet, and toilet paper! One of the bathrooms has music albums on the wall for as a decoration.

I also have not built a stand-alone restaurant in a long time (unlike the one I built for my Amsterdam Street with the toy store next to it), which made it an overall fun build and took me about 7-8 hours to build. The use of the blue and green gave it a nice relaxed and comfortable feel and makes it feel like it has a beachside location. The greenery also adds natural colors, making the setting colorful and lively.

I’ve already started my next build which will be another house, but this time with a few special touches! Check back with my blog to keep up with all of my updates!
